`EDENintheDESERT: inthe Beginning
Oh Lord, not our will but Thine be done.
We entrust all that we have been given back to You for Your constant sanctification and revision.
Purify us daily, to make us worthy of all that we have been called to do.
My total vision for EdenDust has created such a rift in my heart, between what is and what has yet to be. Knowing only that I am to 'stay the course' has allowed me to go far beyond my own personal comfort, welfare or concern. I have had many partners since 1998 when this vision was first birthed, and others have prayed, tithed and stood with me through times of delay and doubt. While most have now disappeared from my side, I continue to move forward, ceasing to be concerned with the exact make-up of those remaining witnesses to this journey..., believing that those that do continue on into the future, will do so because of their own providence.
In the end, as the full *seven-fold vision of EdenDust arises, we will have seen and learned, firsthand, how to achieve a breakthrough for any difficult work that will certainly serve us mightily in the years to come. Understanding little, as to what the future really holds for me and EdenDust, I can only commit to the day, ...this moment, to be ALL that GOD allows, knowing that as HE looks upon my heart, He will see the same heart He created in the first ADAM. I continue to follow the example of the the second Adam, my Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ as I move forward in certainty that HE that has begun a good work in me will Perfect it, in HIS TIME.
*Lord, bring forth the total miracle of ministry, organization, prophetic vision, discipleship, benevolence, location and multi-media that is, EdenDust.

the V i s i o n , thus far...
- 1974: Sang in an ensemble at a rural amusement park - SAWMILL TOWN USA of Newton, TX. First integrated ensemble of it's type.
- 1975-77: While at the University of Texas in Austin, sang with The Longhorn Singers, Varsity Singers and Innervisions of Blackness as a featured and lead singer.
- 1979: Toured with Christian Ensemble, FESTIVAL of PRAISE, based in Longwood, FL, across the US, as a featured vocalist in core ensemble, The Spurrlows.
- 1980: Toured with TOPS in BLUE while serving in the US AirForce.
- 1980-1985: Performed regionally and appeared on many christian broadcasts as part of inspirational duo with ex-spouse, Debra Hill.
- 1986-1989: Worked as Sound and Light Technician for The Laff Stop, Austin TX. During this time, created comedy editioral for The Daily Texan, writing reviews for visiting artists that included Jerry Seinfeld, Rosie O'Donnell, Bob Saget and a host of others.
- 1990-1991: Toured and sang backing vocals with the late PHYLLIS HYMAN.
- 1992-1994: Host, Sound Engineer, Booking Agent and Emcee for The Blue Moon Jazzclub and Zannibar Blue, Philadelphia.
- 1991: Became a member of the SCREEN ACTOR's GUILD (SAG) from casting in PHILADELPHIA, directed by Jonathan Demme.
- 1992: Vocalist in debut, RAINY DAYS: The Soundtrack of My Life, produced by Charles Fambrough and Andrew Eisenstein.
- 1994-1996: Created MPlosion and The Entegrity Entertainment Group, NYC, based in the Ed Sullivan Theatre Building, a sports modeling and talent agency.
- 1997: Co-wrote, Should I Surrender for Shirley Horn's LOVING YOU release. Became voting member of NARAS - National Association of the Recording Arts and Sciences.
- 1997: 1998: The Music for the Soul series from EdenDust Records debuted with JUST LISTEN: Music for the Soul - vol.one, featuring Brother Douglas. GETHSEMANE HOUR: Music for the Soul - vol.two would follow in 1999 and 2000 saw the release of SOUL JOURNEY, a compilation of those previous releases.
- 2000: The soundtrack to the Independent German release, LOS DELINQUENTES, featuring BrotherDouglas' first soundtrack recordings of Noble Pursuit and How Can I Tell You were used as featured songs. The film of the same name was directed by Daniel Morawek.
- 2001: Brother Douglas wrote and self-published his autobiography, WHOLINESS: A Spiritual Journey of Self-Discovery.
- 2002: Brother Douglas as the artist, TaoSoul, penned and recorded the comeback single, GOOD MAN for then WCW Champion, EVAN KARAGIAS.
- 2004: TaoBrothers of EdenDust, Jeremiah Alexis and Brother Douglas, released the spoken word and vocal project, SAY MORE to critical acclaim. Download.com said about the production team: "Every performance piece is simply remarkable. TaoBrothers of EdenDust inject blues, jazz, and soul into their music and have you asking for more. The avant-garde structures and overall groove of the music are deep and passionate."
- 2005: Voices of the Ocean released; a shortfilm created in EdenDust and New York City, with director, Daniel Morawek and his partner. producer Ulf Ramminger of LIFEHOUSE FILM: Steinbergkirche, Germany. - 2005 saw the release of DaRk LoVE, the first single from the wayfaring strangers project released March 2006 following it's upload on MySpace Music. The full project can be experienced in the Magazine link of this site.
- 2006: Brother`EDEN Douglas co-produced, "WELL KNOWN SECRET" from acoustic folk artist, KEEGAN.
- 2007 introduced `EDEN.., an exciting new sound and image from the artist formerly known as Brother Douglas. There's a new digital project released through SnoCap distribution and MySpace entitled, The`EDEN Project that chronicles `EDEN's musical journey since 1992.
Work has already begun in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the new home of EdenDust, on the creation of EdenDust Records - StudioLabs where several new projects are set to follow the release of The`EDEN Project and it's accompanying vision, including volume three in the Music for the Soul series, WHOLINESS, A SpiritMusical of Self-Discovery, which is slated for a late Winter 2009 release.
`EDENintheDESERT is very interested in anointed collaborative and convenant partnerships with other like-minded visionaries in multi-media.

`EDEN: An Introduction

Who is `EDEN ?
The answer to that question is all over these pages. A bio of sorts is uploaded, so begin there.
What is `EDENintheDESERT ?
I pray in time, it'll be a collective that truly reaches out, first and foremost, in their immediate circle of influences, with aide and assistance to those with God ordained visions, helping them to achieve their goals with spiritual guidance, counseling and support.
How does `EDENintheDESERT work ?
In the grand scheme of things, presently it's my personal calling to just be a vessel through which God's provisions pass on to those that he allows me to connect to in convenant relationship. Specifically working with those that feel out-of-balance or challenged and are in need of mentorship and/or sponsorship for the visions that God has poured into their hearts, I offer my time and resources as God directs and willingly share my journey and testimony as a guide to never, ever give up in the pursuit of your anointed call.
How does `EDEN find artists to mentor or support ?
There are artists in the marketplace, right now, that deserve to be inthe SPOTLight and I'm dedicating one year of my life to promote those that I know truly are 'ready' to step center stage. Some of these artists I've known for years, first from my days online at MP3.com, and now MySpace.com, as well as Facebook.com. Others, I stumble upon prophetically, or they reach out to me from my online exposure in music and film. It's not just artists in music, but in time, all other mediums of creative media that I'm interested in SPOTLighting. Creative Craftsmen are my passion. There's no rhyme or reason in the introductions. I see it all as God's Sovereignity.

What's ahead for `EDEN ?
My future intention is to become a full production house and studio, in the desert, to truly bring these SEEDS of talent together for creative ventures and touring. In this moment, I am laboring to make this a non-profit entity and continuing to prepare for that faintful day when I can work in earnest on this complete vision.
