Third Realm interview with Gothic Vogue

Gothic Vogue is an online publication by internationally known artist Leroy Roper. Recently, Third Realm completed an interview with this brilliant artist:

THE G O T H I C V O G U E INTERVIEW: an online publication by Leroy Roper

First of all, thank you for allowing Gothic Vogue to enter your realm.

Gothic Vogue: WHO ARE THE CURRENT MEMBERS OF YOUR BAND?

Third Realm: Thank you for having us Leroy, we appreciate it. Currently, our lineup consists of Devi Gottschlich and myself, Nathan Reiner.

Gothic Vogue: HOW AND WHEN DID THESE CREATIVE FORCES COME TOGETHER?

Third Realm: About six years ago, Devi and I decided to mend musical ideas with originality in mind. While we wanted to have a sound similiar to what the underground was offering at the time, we felt having female vocals in our tracks would change things up a bit.

Gothic Vogue: HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND?

Third Realm: Our project combines elements of Darkwave, Industrial and Gothic music. Some tracks are ready for the dance floor while others express gloom and sorrow through slower emotional tracks.

Gothic Vogue: DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC MUSICAL INFLUENCES?

Third Realm: Nine Inch Nails is a huge influence. Trent Reznor has always amazed me with his ability to inject sincere emotion into cleverly arranged tracks. Pink Floyd is another amazing band that has always inspired me to take my music to the next level. Further respect and admiration goes out to David Bowie, Nick Cave, Peter Murphy and This Mortal Coil.

Gothic Vogue: WHAT WOULD YOU HOPE THAT THE LISTENER WOULD GET FROM YOUR MUSIC?

Third Realm: To sense the sincerity of the music as a whole. Third Realm has always been about expressing emotions. There is a touch of fantasy involved, but for the most part, there is something personal being expressed in each song.

Gothic Vogue: DO YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A CD OR CDS AVAILABLE?

Third Realm: We currently have an EP out entitled 'Renfield's Syndrome'. We would also like to mention that this album has won the 'Best EP of 2005' award at Radio-Active-Music.com!

Gothic Vogue: HOW CAN OUR AUDIENCE GAIN ACCESS TO YOUR MUSIC?
online? major record stores? amazon.com? etc...

Third Realm: Further exposure can be found on our ZeBOX page. http://www.zebox.com/Gravekeeper. There are several links taking you to a variety of music sites where you can hear various samples of our music.

Gothic Vogue: ARE THERE ANY FUTURE PROJECTS IN THE WORKS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE OUR READERSHIP TO KNOW ABOUT?

Third Realm: There are currently no plans for any additional projects. However, we do have an existing side project called Idiom of Sad.

Gothic Vogue: AND FINALLY, WHAT ARE YOUR HOPES FOR THE FUTURE?

Third Realm: The goal is to have our music continue to make an impact on both ourselves, and our fans. It is a big part of who we are.
