As an American, anyone who studies either economics or history should see that the most powerful and influential natin on earth is showing every sign of a state in the early to mid stages of its decay in terms of real power. Owing Asia more than $500 trillion, consuming and not producing, and sendin military force beacuse your debt situation no longer ensures diplomatic invincibility isn't much of a sign of strength. More of a nation that looked at the energy situation, glanced over at India, China and Indonesia (and people who are willing to work for a living rather than tell people how great their system of government is), thought about its lacklustre ecomy, and said "Oh crap..."
I was a U.S Marine, I love America but I also can't stand these blinkered types who think anyone who states a reality that doesn't happen to flatter the U.S.A. is a left-wing whiner. My advice to them is to learn Mandarin, fast.

i love this country & the fact that i'm living in it. however, i feel sickened living under the yoke of a supposed 'leader' like this.
it's incredible that just over 50% of the country voted for an a*****e like this. the man is either a genius while the american population is suffering from some form of downs syndrome, or he's an absolute moron who's managed to get lucky w/a cabinet of pseudo-intellectual swine that have somehow captured our heads enough to pull 5 layers of thick wool over our eyes.

Uhhh... speaking of jokes! That was a good one. There are SEVERAL good Americans who are and/or would be offended by that video who didn't vote for Bush.
You think that because an American is democrat that they would stand up & salute a "brilliant" video that is very anti-American in addition to being anti-Bush? No, & it's laughable that you would assume they are in the the rabid anti-Bush minority that you are.
The vid is a complete slap in the face to every American - at least those of you intelligent enough to figure it out.
Don't confuse the minority of raging, immature, college kids & brain-dead 60's liberal leftovers in your country as "half the american population." That one made me spit my drink on the monitor!

As entertaining as your posts so far have been, I'm a tad confused about your position and must wipe the tear of amusement from my eye and ask a serious question; precisely which part of the video is so offensive to non Bush loving Americans as well as Bush loving Americans? If you are going to get into some sort of semantic dispute about the fact that it is not the specific attention placed upon the president in this video that got your goat, then at least state what parts are offensive and maybe a why. From where I'm standing you do sound like some zealously Pro-American drone who loves his country but can't string two sentences together to explain logically WHY, and maybe thats because your love for America isn't based on any hard facts of its goodness. So, unless you want to come across as a drone who puts his fingers in his ears when he hears anything bad about America (whether that be about medical copyright law as it affects AIDS sufferers around the world, war, or crooked elections) and carries on spouting empty allegiance to your country without thinking, how about you back up your brash statements with some respectable examples. Thats also what your freedom of speech is for.

No. It's a slap in YOUR face. You're certainly not every American and you certainly don't speak for me.
Pardon my rant last evening. I was waiting to see how quickly you would quip the response that you did & what it would say. You of course followed suit, as expected.
This video is pointing the finger in your direction. It's all a matter of opinion, really. But gauging your reaction from both posts here, this video is mocking YOU. That's what you "fell for," hook, line & sinker. I post a message that attacks yours in a voice I decided to play for the evening & you reacted precisely as I expected. This is not hindsight, this is how I planned it.
I’m no “burnout” from times past and I’ve long since graduated from college, which has nothing to do w/my ability to form an intelligent thought. A moderately informed child presented only w/facts could reach the same conclusion as me…as could nearly anyone with an ounce of grey matter, compassion and common sense. But again, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just happen to agree w/the opinion of the filmmaker, in this instance.
To me and a VAST amount of people the world over, YOUR opinion is farcical. And that's what's unsettling. Living in a country where people think this way about us collectively. Perhaps a bit exaggerated, but at this point not far off.
And in closing, the last remark I'll make in regards to your first post is this: how's this for insensitive -- YOU are the joke. There's only so long a nation can keep this kind of activity up before it all comes crashing down on us. Check the history of the world. This sort of thing is not exclusive to this administration, this president or this country.
The fact that we as the population have allowed it to go on this way unchecked for this long is a slap in MY face.

PS. It doesn't matter where you're from, the US or otherwise. Our recent endeavors abroad in terms of the war are horribly wrong. The point being made here is that America is sleeping on the job. This country is a special place to me and I'm glad I live here, but it's going south in a hurry. As long as we keep p**sing people off this way, it WILL backfire.
Human nature is to react when threatened or injured. This kneejerk reaction occurs w/individuals as well as in the form of a country or nation. The US has reacted this way when warranted as well as when it hasn't been...and so will these people if we continue to screw with them.
Sorry, Ant. It wasn't my intention to turn your board into a political tirade. I'm done.
