Vincent Truman

Chicago's Vincent Truman is not a serious musician; rather, he writes and records for nothing more than fun. 'I am not a serious musician,' Truman says, 'I write and record for nothing more than fun.'

His recording career began in 1975 when he received a Panasonic tape recorder for his birthday. As the recordings of his that can be found on the pages of Rolling Stone, Listen.Com, IUMA, Guitar.Com, Live365.Com, MP3.COM - and a myriad of others - indicate, he at least has better recording equipment now. As for musical style, Truman enjoys jettisoning format at every turn, an approach that constantly makes him stretch as a performer, even if it does, at the same, make him a marketing nightmare.

When not making up obtuse biographies for himself in the third person that no one reads, Vincent Truman whiles away his time thinking of writing an obtuse autobiography in the third person. It is his dream that one day he will be chased through a lilac field by a mad dentist with a drill who answers to the name of Allen. Fortunately, he always wakes up.
