    Hello again from Wilton

It seems I keep bumping into you guys on all kinds of music sites.  Anyways, I'm hoping to organize some sort of Art Rock/Prog Rock show in the spring of 2006.  I've heard some of your songs on your site and was wondering if you'd be interested in playing.  Right now I'm just in the planning stages in addition to working on a new CD.  But please let me know and I'll keep you guys in mind.
    Thanks

    Wilton Said... Newsletter #34

First of all we would like to apologise to all those who have tried to access the Wilton Said website and found that it wasn't up. The site, who's address is actually http://www.zebox.com/wiltonsaid, was there, but the domain name which points to it wiltonsaid.com was down due to a technical problem. It is now up and running again and Wilton has taken some steps in hopes that this won't be a problem in the future.

So, on to music news. The first show of the New Year will be on Wed Feb 9th 2005 at The Tranzac Theatre located at 292 Brunswick Avenue, Toronto, Ontario (west of Spadina, just south off of Bloor). This will be an evening of pure and unadulterated Wilton Said music featuring of course, vocalist/keyboardist Wilton Said, bassist Andrew Buntain, drummer Richard Rizzo, and guitarist Chris Reid. The band will play two sets, one from the concept album The Butterfly Plague and one of older favorites. What a treat!! The Show starts at 8pm, doors open at 7:30pm and Tickets at the door are $4.00. A bargain if you ask me and if you need any more persuading to see this band just check out this great review from Prognaut.com. http://www.geocities.com/prognaut/reviews/wilton-said.html

If you are fed up with all the office parties and functions of the holiday season and are looking for musically inclined fun things to do in the run-up to Christmas you could do a lot worse than to check out Wilton who will be playing electric guitar for Pop artist Tanisha Taitt as part of her live backing band. You will get to see the other side of the master vocalist on the instrument he first gained his fame with! The show takes place on Wed Dec 22nd, 9:30 pm at C'est What. (Front St. at Church). Check out http://www.tanishataitt.ca for additional info.

As always, Wilton Said would love to hear how they're doing from the fans point of view and are always interested in your thoughts and ideas so if you have any comments and opinions of the Wilton Said shows you have seen or CD's you have listened to, please visit the website via http://www.wiltonsaid.com and feel free to leave your thoughts under the comments link.

And lastly, but not leastly, remember that this is the season of giving and to join in with this very worthwhile activity we have made gift giving that much easier. You can now purchase The Butterfly Plague and Broken CD's at Tower Records on-line, so don't waste any more time, please check out http://www.wiltonsaid.com for the link to the Tower Records website.

Happy Holidays and a Happy and Healthy New Year from all at Wilton Said!!

    Hello to Genesis Fans

On Nov 20th 2004, I attended a concert at Toronto Massy Hall by the Genesis tribute band The Musical Box. It was a fantastic show replicating the 1974 concert of the Genesis show and album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Afterwards, I took the time to hand out some Wilton Said... CD samplers to concert goers who I felt would be interested in hearing some independent Toronto Progressive Rock. So again I say welcome and I hope you take some time to look around the site, read a few tid bits of info, look at some smashing photos, and listen to some music. For any of you that have anything to say regarding the music, photo's, other bands, really anything at all (just be nice about it), feel free to email me or leave a message in the comment section.

P.S. The band and I will be doing our first show of the new year on Feb 9th at The Tranzac Theater. Check out the gig section for more details.

    Thanks Wilton Said...

    Toronto progressive rock

Are there any Toronto Canada Progressive rock bands out there. You know, influenced by artists such as Genesis, Yes, Supertramp, Jethro Tull, Marillion, Pink Floyd, Rush, Dream Theater, Tool, A Perfect Circle. Hopefully you get my meaning.

    Thanks
    Wilton

Hey, great show at The Black swan last Friday. Great music. Reminds me abit of Genesis, Marillion, Rush. Can't wait to see the next show.
